Straitline and King Components

I stopped by Fresh Bike Service today to see what new parts came in and order the SRAM XX1 1×11 drive train. Had some good bike porn to lust over, shown below.

These Straitline AMP pedals have titanium axles and I was really happy with the light weight, even Shawn commented on how impressed he was with the lightness. The Straitline and King components orange coloring matches up fairly close. The Straitline components are a slightly lighter shade, but I’m happy with it.

We talked about the chain ring on the bike and Shawn suggested a 34T for North Georgia. For Nepal I’ll likely drop it down to a 28T since I’ll be sucking what little oxygen there is out of the air.  For Pisgah, maybe a 30T or 32T depending on how spunky I feel. The Atomik wheels and handlebar will probably ship next week, maybe the last week of December.

Work to live, don’t live to work.
